Dave Ananth has joined Stace Hammond as Senior Tax Counsel.
Admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 1989. He is also admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor at the High Court of Malaysia.

Dave has a wide range of local and international experience. He began his career with a boutique law firm in Auckland practicing in insurance related work and when he headed overseas, his knowledge and experience resulted in him being appointed as a Magistrate in Malaysia where he occupied the bench for almost 10 years. He then went into private practice with an emphasis on commercial crime related cases.
When Dave returned to New Zealand he took up a position with Inland Revenue, as a Prosecutor based in Manukau, which included investigating and prosecuting property speculators as part of the Property Compliance Programme, and tax evasion investigations and prosecutions. His next role was with Ernst and Young Malaysia, where he assisted them with their GST implementation. Whilst there, he wrote extensive opinions on the GST impact on telecommunications, petroleum and utilities. Dave often gives seminars to local and international audiences on GST in Malaysia.
Dave is also a Consultant with Wolters Kluwer Malaysia on tax policy and writes in their publication, and local community newspapers.
