James aims to resolve disputes for his clients as quickly and cost effectively as possible. He is experienced in alternative dispute resolution (e.g. negotiation, mediation and arbitration) and regularly appears in both courts and tribunals (including Court of Appeal, High Court, District Court (civil and criminal), Family Court, and before the Lawyers and Conveyancers Review Officer and Disciplinary Tribunal). In addition to litigation, he regularly reviews and drafts agreements, and provides commercial advice for corporate and banking/finance clients.
James is Vice President of the Auckland Committee for the New Zealand Credit Finance Institute. A member of the Restructuring and Turnaround Association of New Zealand, New Zealand Insurance Law Association, Australian Professional Indemnity Group and Young Insurance Professionals.
